Dosen't work. And never has.....
I have been reporting for over a year, several times a week, still the dame crappy service. I think it's even worse now.
User interface in terrible, what else should you expect from a company with such terrible GSM covera
David Proffer write:
The app is poorly designed, difficult to use. May be designed in order to limit negative feedback on poor wireless service by AT&T and/or designed by people that have no understanding of what good design concepts are. Spinning menus with no clear navigation metaphor. Very sad representation of abilities of USA technology companies.
Convenient App, but A&TT doesn't really use the info logged
George Wedding write:
This App is pretty well-designed and it's quite easy to quickly file a report on a service problem. That's good, because since purchasing a new iPhone 4 in July, I've been experiencing a rise in dropped calls and a bigger rise in instances of very slow data service on AT&T. The 3G network has become all but useless for video streaming of any kind (which used to work).
I try to log every problem call with this App. However, when I call AT&T tech support, the company has no record of reports I've filed using the App, only records of reports that I've personally filed by phone. This means that AT&T cannot troubleshoot problems in my calling area or link problems to my phone! What good is the App if the information isn't getting to telephone support technicians?
Worse, the first couple of AT&T phone techs that I spoke to about this tried to tell me that "Mark the Spot" was an Apple App and that I needed to talk to Apple about connectivity problems. I finally was able to speak to a senior-level AT&T technician who has been tracking my case, but he's offered no info on what AT&T does with the "Mark the Spot" logs and problems (if anything). This all makes it seem like the "Mark the Spot" App is nothing but a diversionary marketing ploy.
AT&T needs to:
1. Link the data in this App to customer records that support technicians can see and use.
2. Maintain a copy of the log inside the App, so that customers can refer to their own reports.
3. Map all reports filed for customers and technicians to review.
4. Add a problem category for poor quality voice calls -- when callers can't hear you or only here every other word.
THis App has enormous potential, but it actually has to dos something to fulfill that potential. Right now, it's a big failure.
The information may be outdated (2017-03-06 15:06:50). For actual information go to iTunes
